Waiting on rail joiners to arrive, so I spent some time at the bench today. On the top of the pile were the twins. They are Kato units that needed rails assembled and a tsunami sound decoder installed.
Fresh out of the box
Got the rails and grabs on. These 2 were supposed to be new enough to have a cavity in the fuel tank for a speaker, but they don't so, the decoder is in, but I have to get different speakers or take the frames out to the shop and mill a hole for the speaker myself.
A little light weathering just to get rid of that shiny plastic toy look and installed Sergent Engineering couplers. A little more weathering and a speaker and it'll be ready to run interchange into Brownville Jct. yard.
If anyone has one, or a pair, of Atlas GP38s in the Bangor & Aroostook red, black, and grey paint that they would sell, drop me a message at hobbezeq@gmail.com
