Backdrop and base scenery

I haven't been able to work on the layout for a few weeks until this weekend.  I spent a bit of time putting up some more of the blue painted hardboard backdrop.

I spent some time getting a base layer of paint and ground foam down as well.  I have a few totes of trees all made up ready to go and plenty of static grass for the areas without tree cover.

    1. Aaaaya I flew for Air NewEngland from 69-80. Lived in Maine for 5.5 yrs. Waterville, Skowhegan, and Belgrade. Have a Maine Central small layout. Loved you part of the country, but am a Florida 'Cracker' and am back home in Tallahassee.

  4. Found your site from a post in the Model Railroad forum. I am a novice model rr fan (emphasis on novice) from Maine (Lewiston) building my first ever layout. I don't have a specific setup in mind beyond a generic wood products industry and BAR and Maine Central from the late 60's/early 70s as the railroad. I'm simply glad to see there's someone else out there with an interest that matches mine. I'll be a subscriber!
